Sport has the power to be more than winning or breaking records. It can drive social change. Yet visibility, recognition, pay and opportunities for women and girls in sport are still far from guaranteed.
With SAM, we want to break through that inequality. We use major sporting events as catalysts and build a year-round program of research, role models and practical tools. On this page, you’ll find everything you need to get inspired – and to play your part in creating change.

The SAM Playbook
The SAM Playbook will be the digital handbook for equality in sport. Here we bundle insights from research, inspiring examples from federations and clubs, and practical tools. From methods for meetings to campaigns that break stereotypes: the Playbook makes change concrete and directly applicable. The SAM Playbook is a ‘living’ document that we continuously add to. We expect to make the first version available on this website in Q1 2026.

Webinars
Our webinars bring together role models and experts. In short, powerful sessions they share experiences and solutions for themes such as visibility, leadership, equal pay and inclusive sports culture. Research
Research forms the basis of SAM. Together with partners such as the Mulier Institute and sports federations we analyze inequality across sports and within specific sports. From pay gaps in cycling to leadership in golf: the facts and figures guide interventions and provide evidence for structural change. Each year we measure the impact of our program and share the results widely through our Playbook on this website. We also regularly appear on stages to share our knowledge, experience and findings.
